What I’m about to say is probably not what you want to hear. I mean that in the most sincere, helpful way I know how be. When I work on my clients, I give them my all. I am a giver at heart. I’ve wondered over the years where the balance lies. So what I’ve discovered is that it’s a team effort when it comes to your improving health, namely today the focus is soft tissue health.
The point I am trying to make is that health care professionals can help you. That is as far as it goes. The rest is up to you. Will you regularly check in to keep on track? It’s in your hands. There is no instant cure. I can help your body on the path of healing but what can you do to help yourself?
It’s a team effort when you are working with a health care professional, but remember this. You are the one in control here, and you don’t have to let that overwhelm you. Most people feel more comfortable letting someone else have that job. Don’t let be a de motivator, it is actually a good thing and it empowers you. I’m not saying that you need to start going off and diagnosing yourself. I’m just encouraging everyone to have a more active part in their health, their lives.
There are some things that you can do, and it doesn’t involve climbing Mt Everest. Even the little things count. If done on a regular basis, they add up and it becomes a cycle of events that affect you in a positive way. If you keep up with these changes consistently, you will see consistent results. Sounds attainable, right? There’s always room for improvement.
Good news! There will more posts about what adjustments and friendly reminders we all need to hear to make this path a little easier. For now, let’s just focus on the thought process.
